Protecting the natural environment

We partner with our stakeholders across the airport precinct to manage the impact of our operations on the natural environment.

Our three designations and various resource consents provide a solid foundation for the protection of the airport precinct and surrounding environment. We implement best practice environmental controls and monitor our environmental performance on an ongoing basis to reduce pollution and protect local biodiversity.

Additional to statutory obligations, Auckland Airport has a focus on carbon reduction, water conservation and waste minimisation.
